The European Magazine Award welcomes media companies that create and market content-driven products, as well as their suppliers, service partners and service providers. Deadline for submissions is December 13th, 2024 (Early Bird) or January 31st, 2025.

Magazine Story of the Year
The jury is looking for excellent magazine stories – in terms of relevance, outstanding content and stunning design. Please choose one piece per media brand as your “magazine story of the year”. This should have been published in the course of the year 2023.
Design
Best contemporary magazine design which supports the editorial approach and audience’s needs. Submissions should explain the design idea and include a minimum of two features from one issue or the whole issue itself. Enter your magazine according to the segment:

Magazine Relaunch
Please submit both one issue before and one after the relaunch. You may want to briefly describe the underlying idea of the relaunch: why it happened, what was changed and how it works for readers and editorial team.
Infographic
Best use of infographic to reveal magazine content, be it part of a story or a stand-alone piece. Submissions should include a brief description of the subject and context – and, if appropriate, also the challenge in visualizing the topic.
Photography
Outstanding photography. The picture(s) can be of any kind and must have been published in a magazine. Entries should include the whole story or feature to illustrate the context and subject. Please select your category: Portait or Sequence.
Cover Concept
The category awards visual concepts of cover page design. Please describe the underlying creative principles and submit an appropriate number of cover examples.
Cover One-shot
Single outstanding cover that has been published, reflecting perfect collaboration of editors, design and distribution in order to sell the cover story or enhance reading experience. An entry consists of one cover only; however, there is no limitation to the number of entries.
Illustration
The jury is looking for excellent illustrations which enrich a magazine story. You can enter single stories or, in case the illustration principles are used throughout an issue, the whole issue.
Typography
Best use of typo – be it in a single element of a magazine or globally across the magazine. Solid and visually harmonic typography may be as succsessful in this category as surprising or bold approaches. Please name the font(s) employed.

Feature, Report, Q&A
This category is for long pieces like features, reports or Q&A formats. The jury looks for outstanding ways to tell a story and to reveal the content.

This category focuses on short pieces which run on less than one page. The jury looks for outstanding ways to tell a story and to reveal the content.
Content Marketing
(print)
Outstanding magazines produced by a publisher or consultancy on behalf of a client or by the organization itself. The submission should contain owned media at a high quality level.
